Why name my blog Picky Eater's Conquest? Well, see what had happen was, since I decided that chicken, pork and beef were conspiring to kill me around October 2006, it's been hard to find a place to eat out. And if you know me, I rather pay for a prepared meal than to actual stand over a stove and make it myself. Some people call it lazy, I like to think of it as spending my time efficiently. While I'm looking over the menu deciding what to eat, I usually make friends with the waitress or waiter, learn something from the menu and then while I wait I can talk to my friends or answer emails on my BlackBerry. I think that proves my point that eating out is better for everyone.
Anywho, I really went off track with my point. What was I talking about...oh yeah I remember; I like to eat. Being a pescatarian, yes it's a real word; just look it up at Wikipedia.com :) Ok, ok, I'll explain--it basically means I eat fruit, veggies, nuts, dairy and fish but nothing else. Once I made this choice, it became a bit tricky to eat out. The longer I've stayed off the stuff; aka meat, chicken and pork, I found foods to have a little by-product hidden through out it. Now, almost 3 years later, my tummy gets a rumbling and I usually have to lay down after a meal. To all my friends who like to trick me and give me some of the stuff with chicken or some other meat in it, I want you to realize I'm out of commission for a few hours which is code for I'm in the bathroom, trying to avoid dying. Consequently, if you are my friend and now know this information, but still try to trick me you are a mean person and I'll have something for you later, when you're sleeping :D Boy I just went off on another tangent, don't know what's upper tonight.
Soo long story short I'm a picky eater because I avoid cooking at all cost, thus (yes I just used thus in a sentence) when I go out unless it's to a vegetarian place my choices are very, very limited; hence the name of the blog. Now, that you have the back story on my tummy I've decided to blog about all my experiences at eating establishment outside of huge chain restaurants. I'll rate the place based on my waiter/waitress and if my taste buds say hallelujah!
Stay tuned for all my ratings!!!!!
